Landrum-Walters Family Reunion

“From Generation to Generation”

Blue Mountain, Mississippi

July 8-10, 2011

The Blue Mountain College campus looks beautiful and we are ready to spend three days of family fun working together on two service projects that will advance the mission and ministry of the college. Dr. Bettye Coward, BMC President, has expressed special pleasure that the Landrum-Walters family will be on campus and has two specific projects lined up for us (1 – painting and 2 – catalog music).

We will also reserve plenty of time to worship, relax, share stories, and catch up on the transitions and accomplishments experienced since we last met in 2007. As past reunions have shown, we’ve got the talent, too, so bring your quilts, your photos, your guitars, your poems, your jokes! You can even come early and join us in visiting William Faulkner’s home in Oxford!

We are excited about our website, and just like our reunions are a combined effort, so is the website. It will take lots of effort from lots of folks to archive and share our treasure trove of family memories! Begin to gather and scan your family photos, and jotting down some stories to go along with them.

We hope everyone will enjoy the fun and feel comfortable posting comments, stories and uploading pictures. Susan is the “webmaster” and will be happy to help anyone get started or answer any questions. Click here to send her note if you have any thoughts/ideas.

The college is providing guest/dorm rooms in Stevens and the cost is $15 per night, per person. Meals will be catered and are $7 per meal, per person. If you prefer to stay off-campus, other accommodations are available at the Hampton Inn in New Albany.

Memaw’s favorite verse is timeless and sums up our goodly heritage!

Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless his holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.  - Psalm 103:1-2
